The Vision of Design NC is to elevate support and awareness for Cameron Art Museum through an annual event forum that celebrates the craft of design and provides regional outreach to design professionals, students, and art enthusiasts.
THE CHALLENGE
Design NC tasked Sage Island with redesigning its website to improve functionality, purpose, and overall aesthetic. The client needed the website to clearly showcase upcoming fundraising events with quality imagery and eloquently worded copy.
It was essential to Design NC that the websites aesthetic reflect the brand and tie in with the Cameron Art Museum.
THE SOLUTION
Image-centric design and layout.
Design NC had some great photos of past events, so integrating those with our designs made the job easier. We wanted to showcase all that they’ve accomplished, so the images are strategically placed to be the main eye-catching focal points, supplemented with the corresponding content.
Sage Island’s design team created a layout that would showcase these images, boasting an image-heavy home page, a horizontal photo collage that shows a selection of photographs from their biggest and best events.
Content & messaging direction.
The client had included a lot of great information about who they are and what they do. The Sage Island team took that content and made some important tweaks to give it more purpose and clarity.
The organization’s website now has even more user-friendly information that showcases its goals and principles.
Promoted Call-To-Action’s.
In addition to restructuring the website’s layout, our design team placed prominent call-to-action buttons on the homepage directing visitors to common needs, such as purchasing tickets and sponsorship opportunities.
These are core pieces of the Design NC mission, so it was crucial to highlight and make them stand out.
